This blind love always cringes me out...😷

Hyunckel comes in and she forgets about everyone else...

And this is only the second time she met him...

Talk about forced love triangle...

Edit: Her entry in the show was super big, and maybe in the manga as well, but now look at her she has become nothing more than as guide and a helpless girl...That's what i never like about these Anime...Even the princess is shown to be powerless...She can't even use a her own special magic...disapointed...hero and all is ok but when you have got so many main female leads and extra female supporting characters as well then you should atleast put the romance and harem apart...Until now only Dai and Leona's stagnant relationship is ok...
I was hoping for a simple action Shounen but it turned into a love, love triangle, harem too soon...

I don't think it's maam that's weak, it's that only Dai can keep up with the enemies because he's a dragon knight descendent or something. but I'm hoping Popp and Maam become stronger too. I wasn't expecting the princess to be strong, Royalty with supporting roles in animes are generally weak

Yeah...i guess i was a little bit wrong because Maam has gone into a complete character improv. So i judged it very soon...
But i still don't like that after seeing Maam in first 2 episodes of her introduction she wasn't able to do much for both of them...And then the writer made her fall in love...But i won't call that love...
I think Avan was like her father figure and after losing her real father she also lost him which made her feel very bad and there was no one to console her...She never discussed about this with her mother...Finally she saw that Hyunckel was also suffering from the same thing who lost his father and then Avan...But seeing that Hyunckel was blinded with hatred she started to pity him and developed feeling which i cannot describe as love...She only wanted him to feel loved but she thought that she likes him...
I describe this as two poor souls who helps each other by the feeling of love and warmth...by helping each other...

But then she was almost helpless during the whole fight...She didn't even ran towards Dai or Popp to heal them...
That's why i said that this felt like a forced love triangle to me...

Edit: Yeah, her entrance was enough to show how strong her personality was...But on the other hand i can say she is strong...Though if we compare her with Popp and Maam, she is not much learned and trained as both of them are...

At the very least, she had that connection of being Avan's student and seemed to strongly sympathize with Hyunckel due to his past and saw the good in him. It's not the strongest romance story in that regard, but at the very least, I can see why she seemed to connect with him. Especially since he went out of his way to not kill her and promised her safety and release.

I completely agree with you on how they need to do more with the female characters though. Granted, all of their trio seems to get beaten up pretty badly until Dai unleashes his power. Here's to hoping Maam and the group grow more.

I wouldn't call anything in this series a harem though, since that implies multiple girls are after one guy. At this point, we have Dai and possibly the princess, and Maam and likely Popp at this point...since he sees her as cute from day one, so they'll try to force feed us that ;-P

Yes, as i said in another reply Avan was like her father figure and seeing that Hyunckel too has lost both her father and Avan just like her but he is still blinded by hatred, she tries to reach his heart and fought him even when he told her that he does not fight with women...
But she was so much engrossed in her thoughts and sadness that she didn't thought of escaping with Dai and Popp...Rather she was ready to fight Hyunckel for Hyunckel and her Master's sake...
And yes i was wrong about Maam...she has gone a character development so i guess you could say this show will improve...

Yes...I don't like Harem...I am fed up watching Harem...And that's why i have skipped the Visual Novels Anime and Harem related stuff...
BUT love triangle is a different thing...
I completed all the episodes and i like how it is going...I can take it if there is not too much Romance involved in a love triangle...And this show is not about love or romance, it is more about fight and Dai...
Otherwise Dai's and Princess relationship is also very mature...They understand their roles very clearly and even though i guess they have feelings for each other they do not get depressed like Popp or Maam...
That's the best part...I guess the author wanted to wait for Dai...I mean he will not show romance between them until Dai grows up... But this show is all about little Dai so i guess we will not see such things...The few moments of happiness between them are much better than those romantic scenes...Because this Anime never needed a romance tag...

Edit: I am sorry, i might have spilled few hints on the show which are yet to come...But actually after watching the complete show, i watched the previous old Anime and read the manga and got to know a lot of things...
But at this point you can tell that Popp is now feeling insecure because they have introduced a new character and Maam misread her own feelings as love for him...

I'm just now watching the series for the first time, so I definitely don't have all of the answers. I totally get the harem frustration though. It's not needed in most anime, really.

To some artists and companies it's a fuel to keep the story going...
Add a new girl character or a boy in Shojo to increase the character types and fans...
Otherwise most of the work will be done in 40 episodes or less if the story is weak...

Hey, let's add some drama by having a tsundere character who has been rude and hostile towards the MC admit her feelings in the most unrealistic way possible! And since the MC is nice, we'll have him conveniently forget and ignore all of the toxic behaviors so there's a conflict between the horrible tsundere and the love interest who has clearly been displaying clear chemistry and affection since day 1.

Forget 40 episodes. Maybe in the 20's, lol.

Drama is sometimes nice when it's not overdone...But nobody cares...They continue the Drama until the company dosen't stop publication...But this one is nice...
Everything has a meaning and even relationships are growing steadily...Though the love triangle craziness made me feel a bit disappointed with the approach story is taking...But this was okish...
Atleast Maam is not like Tenten...if you know...They completely did nothing to improve Tenten's character...
In Another world with a Smartphone is a perfect example where girls with diff. characters keep popping up in the show and MC can't say no to anyone because he loves any girl who will purpose him...
Plus there will be a person in real world who likes one of those girls...Everyone will ship their fav. girls with the MC...And that's how you get more fans or just viewers...
And their greatest weapon - the ecchi tag...

That's why i now prefer Anime like Horimiya, Plastic Memories, Re Life...
Though Momokuri was full of Moe i still liked it...I can't deny that i like Slime and How to Summon a Demon Lord even though it's a harem...
Not because their MC is overpowered but because the MC has a mind of their own...They are not just nice...They can think for themselves and gets angry only when needed...I hope their character development will be done as per Novel...The second season of Demon Lord was not that good afterall...Now i am not sure if i should watch the Slime's second season, as i don't want to get disappointed if the story is not following the Novel or it is bland...

Slime has been a very fun ride. Not sure if it's following the novel, as I haven't read it, but it was an action packed and emotional season to say the least.

slime was always bland and boring if you want GOAT masterpiece watch one outs and youjo senki

It's not true at all...Don't mind but if there aren't any other reason then I can guess only 2 things...Either you don't like the politics, drama and mix of action and fantasy or you don't understand the world building, plot and political complexity...Though it is based around fiction and many things are interpreted differently, but everything together makes it a perfect fantasy-drama type isekai...I am actually talking about isekai rankings only...So based on that I am sure if the novel I haven't read is good, this will remain in top 5 always...Also, if you are an action freak then you will find it boring for sure...
But I am not ignorant at all...I have watched youjo senki and I very much liked it...I like the edginess of the character...But there are points in Anime that needs improvement...Speaking of edginess, people said they didn't liked Overlord season 3 due to too much gore and inhumane things, but I actully liked it...And I can understand why people are ignoring some of the issues with that Anime as well...But in the end, it all comes down to world building, plot, drama and fantasy...Obviously, novels are better but animation is not easy...
I like sports Anime so I think I will give it a try...
